This morning, as Joe was getting up from his seat at the table, he hurled all over.......Joe......why did you throw up? Apparently, Joshua put a "medium" sugar in his Cheerios, and he then added to it. Alright, off to the corner with you. After his time-out, I was talking to him about a new rule: only mom puts sugar in cereal, we just can't have too much! (I had been letting Teddy do it, but obviously it got out of hand.) Joe's response, "Well, mom. God made sugar." That's it? That's your response. I told him that He also gave us a brain to make good choices and not eat too much sugar.
God made sugar.
Miriam was taking a bath and admiring her looong hair. She said, "Jus like Mama's hair!"
I was talking to Sean about how the kids need to share, but they also need to have their own things that no one else can play with and where do we draw the line? This was in relation to Teddy taking something from Paddy. Josh's response, out of nowhere, considering he wasn't in the conversation, was, "Well, the Commandments say we shouldn't steal." LOL! You're right Josh. He's like the morality police around here, which is good, we need someone to keep us all in line!
Teddy was taking off his socks right before he went to bed when he realized that he had one sock on from yesterday and a new pair from this morning. Yep, 2 socks on one foot, and he had no idea! Joshua's response, "He cracks me up!!..........Like an egg!!"
Paddy decided that he was going to have a party with eating, picnic style, in the kids' tree house. He set things up and went grocery shopping with Dad. When they returned, Sean grilled burgers and Paddy decided that his party needed a ride, so he pulled his little siblings around in a wagon. He was having so much fun making it perfect for everyone, but it was so cold and windy. It didn't work out well, but he really enjoyed himself! A couple of pictures:
Sean made Cheese dip yesterday, as you can see, they gobbled it up. True Heckamans!
Yum. I am the King of Cheese Dip.
Teddy displaying his awesome climbing skills.
Paddy getting things ready for his party.
I told Joe to smile, thought better of it and asked him to go on and hand the rocks to Paddy (so he could anchor the table cloth), this is the funny pose we ended up with.
Paddy!
Buckling in the passengers. Safety first!
Joshua took 2 days of hard core practicing on the bike and he now rides training wheel free! I cannot believe that boy's determination!
My attempt at getting a shot of Evie while still holding her.
Wheeee!
Racing around the corner. As a child my siblings and I would dream of how awesome it would be to ride bike on the driveway across the street!
Paddy pulling his two younger siblings. He's getting so old!
Dinner INSIDE. I love to see the pile of children we have at our meals!
