We have a few projects in the works, and I keep waiting until they are finished to post anything. Well, I've waited long enough! I promise when we are done, we will post pictures!
The first project is the baby, of course! I have three weeks to go from Monday, and we cannot wait! We are scrambling to get everything ready, but we remind each other that the world does not end once the baby comes and that things can be finished after. The doctor keeps telling me, "This a big baby!" (He's Korean.) And I respond with "no kidding!" He seems like he'll be about the same as Joshy: 8pounds 6 ounces. That's my predicition, I am very interested to see how big he will be. Teddy is excited, but seems to be more excited about Sunday school starting the day before the baby. Joshua will join him in the same class (3-6 year olds), and while he doesn't understand "tomorrow" I'm sure he will love it once the time comes.
The next project is the attic. We have had a lot of setbacks with the attic, but at least things are being done the right way! There was insulation missing in the roof and there wasn't proper circulation, you cannot believe the difference in temperature up there! We have floors in, and drywall up, the mudding should be done by Wednesday, and then we paint, finishing touches, and wait for carpet! I imagine we'll have pictures of the new room about the same day we have pictures of the baby, LOL!!
I was making dinner the other night and, clumsy me, I dropped and broke a huge jar of applesauce. We had discussed getting rid of the carpet in the kitchen, so lo and behold, Sean ripped out the carpet that night! Enter the third project! We hired someone to do the mudding upstairs, so we were twiddling our thumbs and looking for something to do. The project turned into painting the kitchen, installing a new sink, and changing all of the cabinet handles, not to mention putting in laminate flooring. Sean is finishing the flooring right now (midnight!) and then we have some final painting to do and we have to put up the trim. I am happy to say that this project should be done by the time we are ready to paint upstairs. I am excited to spill applesauce, now! It looks absolutely beautiful and Sean is doing a wonderful job (although the cursing is definitely not absent!).
If anyone wants to come check out any of the projects, let us know, you're welcome to stop by! We will be posting pictures when things are done, and we will let everyone know exactly when we schedule the birth of our fourth boy. I hope everyone's summer is going well and not flying by as fast as mine is!
