Take me out the to ballgame...

So, last night Teddy, Josh, Granma, Granma Great, and I went to the baseball game. Ryne Sandberg was in town as the Coach of the Peoria Chiefs, so it gave my Mom an excuse to go, and take us boys along.

Well, Ryno wasn't the only attraction tonight, as you can see, the boys got to meet the Clydesdales. By chance, we happened to see them setting up in a field across from the stadium, so we went to take a closer look. Joshy was very impressed, telling me to look every few minutes. That's Josh's thing, "oo, wook!", very cute, he is starting to talk in complete sentences now. He came out of the potty yesterday, and said "Guys, I'm all done." Oh, we had a break-through with the potty with him too, so Josh is riding a high horse right now, you could call it a Clydesdale :) Here's a good close up of Joshy's handsomeness, a shot that Teddy took last night.
One of these boys might become a photographer some day, most days when I pick up the camera, the card is full of pictures that they have taken. We end up with a lot of silly pictures of Paddy most of the time. Here's one of his chookie.
Back to the game... This was Josh's first trip to the ballpark, and he didn't pay much attention to the game. He was much too interested in the nachos, the scoreboard, and Swoop, the mascot, of course. He seemed to have a lot of fun, as did Ted, who seemed to get into the game, even though he didn't know who to root for. I was trying to get him to cheer for the Silver Hawks, where Granma told him to root for the Chiefs, who are a Cubs affiliate. He basically cheered when anybody swung the bat, and let out a "grrr" when they didn't swing at a pitch, he didn't care who was up. Here's a shot from my seat, the boys are waiting for Swoop to come back from the other end of the dugout.
I hope to be able to take them at least one more time this year, the Famous Chicken is coming Aug. 3. You can beat fun at the old ballpark. Later, Sean.
